Village of TerrorAttended on Saturday, October 8 This was my first time attending the Village of Terror and I can say I will definitely return! I’ve never attended such a unique event/haunt before and wish we would have spent the entire night here as we didn’t get to see everything they had. The Village of Terror consists of several haunts, magic shows, shops and other entertainment. Throughout the grounds we saw zombies and vampires roaming about. Unfortunately, we only had time to go through three of their haunted attractions. If I remember correctly, I believe the first one was the...
Dreadwood Haunted ForestAttended on Friday, October 7Dreadwood is located in the middle of nowhere. At least that’s what it feels like to someone who doesn’t know the area at all. We found the entrance easily as there was a red light that shone onto the trees. They also have some signs that show you were to go nearby. We pulled in and weren’t too sure where to go. There was no one or any signs pointing out where to go. We decided to travel the narrow dirt road behind the barn. There were only two or three signs along the...
Haunted HighAttended on Saturday, October 1st We arrived near closing time and at the beginning of the season so we didn’t we have to wait in line long. Haunted High takes place in an actual abandoned high school. Their ticket area is located in the gym and is furnished with teacher’s desks skull lamps. The waiting line is also in the gym located behind a divider curtain. They show movie clips on two walls, so waiting in line doesn’t seem to take as long. There are also concessions that are available to purchase before you get into line. Once it...
The Dark SideAttended on Saturday, October 1st One of the things I like about The Dark Side is how they combine three haunts into one. This year we received a plastic token with The Dark Side name printed on it when we purchased tickets. I was hoping this was something we’d be able to keep, but were told we would need to hand them to the ticket taker before we entered the haunt. Bummer. You can also purchase concessions, Halloween décor and various Dark Side apparel including hoodies and hats in the same building the ticket booth is located in....
