Zombies will invade UW-Richland this fall

The living dead will roam the halls of UW-Richland's Coppertop Theatre this fall. Auditons for a play based on the 1968 classic horror film "Night of the Living Dead" will be held on Wednesday, September 4 & Thursday, September 5 at 6:30 p.m. in the UW-Richland Coppertop Theatre, located at 1200 Highway 14 West in Richland Center. Zombies will need to do their own makeup, so prior theater makeup experience is a plus. For more information about the play or auditions, contact the director at [email protected] or 608-647-7373.

As a kid, I knew once the state fair was over, school wasn't far behind. This is still true today but instead of school my focus is on Halloween. While it may seem early, some stores have already stocked their shelves with Halloween decor and candy. And don't be too surprised if you see a Christmas tree or snowman as they've been spotted as well. Talk about early! Yankee Candle's annual Halloween Preview Party will be held on Saturday, August 3rd. Stop by between 10am-4pm for hourly give-a-ways and the premier of the NEW 2013 Boney Bunch collection. Andy and I stopped by the Yankee Candle at Brookfield Square Mall last year and took some pictures while shopping. We'll be there again this year and can't wait to see 2013 collection!
