Was terribly boring. The only thing worth the money was fast pass. Never jumped or got scared even once! So not worth it!

Last night, four of my friends and I drove the 1.5 hour drive from Milwaukee to Neenah to visit the Burial Chamber Haunted House Complex. For years I had been looking on the Haunted Wisconsin website and eying this event (the reviews, videos, and photos looked great!), but the distance was always a bit of an issue. All that I can say now is that I am so happy that we made the trip!
Let me first say that I am an avid horror fan--I watch scary movies year-round and always visit one or two haunted houses each year. Basically, it takes a lot to scare me or to put me on edge. My four friends and I (we are all between 18 and 21 years old) are really hard to impress when it comes to haunted houses; we've been to many throughout southeastern Wisconsin, so we can tell which ones are good and worth the money...and which ones are not. I can say without a doubt that the Burial Chamber is amazing and that it is hands-down the best haunted house that I've ever been to!!!
When we got off the freeway, we saw the Burial Chamber right away because of the large spotlights that were being shone in the sky. There was plenty of parking right in front of the haunted house, even on a busy Friday night. We waited in line to buy our tickets (the line moved at a good pace), and the five of us all bought the $40 VIP fast pass (instead of the normal $30 pass). Those extra ten dollars were well-spent, and we were able to skip right to the front of the line for all three haunted houses! I am convinced that it saved us several hours of standing in line, and I highly recommend that anyone who visits the Burial Chamber buys the fast pass. All of us agreed that it was definitely worth the money, and we were really surprised that so few people actually took advantage of buying the pass. (The haunt was a good value overall--realistically, without the fast pass, each house was $10, and with the pass, each house was about $13). For those who did wait in lines, there were a couple large TV screens showing weird Halloween-type videos. There were also line actors that did a great job of startling us, even though we weren't standing in line.
Everything was very organized and seemed to run very smoothly. There was one thing that I thought would be an issue for me--groups of about ten people were sent through the house at a time. Normally I would say "that's way too many! Only the people in front are going to get scared!" However, this was NOT the case. Actors did an extremely effective job of targeting people in the front, middle, and back of the line. Also, the corridors for the Adrenaline and Insanity haunted houses were quite narrow and had a lot of turns and other obstructions, so there was always a surprise no matter where you were standing in line. (I went to a "haunted woods" once that was literally a train of people walking, and that was not surprising or scary at all because you clearly saw what was coming--thankfully, this does NOT describe the experience of the Burial Chamber at all!).
All three of the haunted houses were great and really unique! Adrenaline made me jump a lot with loud noises and actors that came out of unexpected places. Insanity was really unnerving and had a lot of unique rooms and different types of terrain to walk on, which put me on edge (not to mention clowns, which one of my friends is terrified of). Phobia was a haunted woods with a really creepy atmosphere and with actors that came at you from literally all angles. Overall, all three of the haunted houses were very long, well over 20 minutes per house!
(On a side note: one of my friends lost her phone in the first haunted house, but the workers at the Burial Chamber were very helpful, found it almost immediately, and returned it to us right away.)
I would highly recommend this Burial Chamber to anyone looking for a good haunt this Halloween season! It was the most fun that I've ever had at a haunted house, and the VIP fast pass is definitely the way to go.
Great haunt! Great actors! Great scares!
Well done Burial Chamber!

Tantalizingly Terrifying & Fantastically Frightful!! If you've never been to the Burial Chamber complex prepare yourself! The sheer size of this complex is quite impressive and what lurks inside will take your breath away. 2014 was my actually my 5th visit to Burial Chamber in the past 6 seasons. (I do believe this is Burial Chambers 6th season...) Over the past 6 years as a Review Crew Member I've been to many of the haunts in Wisconsin and I've yet to find one as massive as Burial Chamber...or as talented at terrorizing you.
Of course for all you Haunt Connoisseurs out there I don't have to tell you that it's not always the size of the haunt that matters. When it comes to Burial Chamber, not only is this complex well endowed, it employs an amazing arsenal of creeped out corridors, crazy creatures and good ole' fashioned in your face scares to maximize your ghoulish gratification.
Burial Chamber features two indoor haunts (Adrenalin and Insanity) that reside side by side and one (Phobia) that's outside. The layout of Adrenalin and Insanity are similar in that they are both comprised of a seemingly endless maze of cleverly crafted corridors consisting of a variety of themes. The journey through both Adrenalin and Insanity progresses continuously without stoppages for elaborate skits. Rooms here are more like themed corridors than rooms and your pace through these haunts are determined more by how quickly you walk than it is by the creatures lurking in the shadows.
Adrenalin
Consistent with prior years, the pace of Adrenalin is fast and furious as the ghouls are unrelenting in their quest to scare each and every visitor regardless of their position within a group. Yes, you read that correctly...you will be terrorized regardless of your position in your group as there is no place to hide from the menacing monsters lurking throughout the haunt. The lighting of Adrenalin is noticeably darker than Insanity but there was always just enough light for you to find your way without the worry of walking into a wall. The maze of dimly lit hallways of Adrenalin did an exceptional job of building my anticipation of the scares that await but unfortunately made it challenging for the true haunt connoisseur in me to appreciate how elaborate the sets and creatures were. Nonetheless, if you're looking for a good scare to get your heart dancing like Dracula's Discotheque Adrenalin will get the job done!
Insanity
Insanity on the other hand left little to the imagination. Sets were lit effectively...dim enough to encourage you to keep your scare guard up but light enough so that you could appreciate the amazing attention to detail with the sets and costumed actors. There were fewer creatures lurking in the shadows of Insanity but enough to make you jump occasionally. Gore and special effects were plentiful with several visual abominations that will torment your mind long after your exit. Lazer lighting, black lit rooms, a vortex, strobe lights, and trick floor were just a few of the visual stimuli Insanity offered up.
Phobia
Unlike Adrenalin and Insanity, Phobia resides completely outside and features a terrifying tour through the woods along with occasional petrifying passages through eerie dwellings found along the way. Rustling brush and sinister sounds heighten your anticipation of what’s to come as you proceed along a moon lit path. Similar to Adrenalin, the monsters in Phobia were menacing, highly motivated and acrobatic doing an exceptional job of appearing out of nowhere to scare each and every member the tour group regardless of position.
Consistent with prior years, I find it challenging to pick a clear-cut favorite out of Burial Chambers 3 haunted attractions. By far Adrenalin was the most terrifying while Insanity offers an amazing visual experience. Of the 8 haunted attractions I.ve been to this year Burial Chamber has my vote as the scariest most terrifying attraction!

Burial Chamber is the perfect place to go for a wide range of scare tactics backed with an amazing team of actors and crew in a huge complex. I've been going for years now, and they never fail to amaze! Each year is a different experience, since they like to change up the sets inside the two houses in the warehouse as well as the various set pieces in the woods
If you go, make sure to wear durable clothes and sensible shoes. There are surprises around every turn, from all angles (If you go into Phobia, the haunted woods...just be careful not to run into the swamp! Stick to the path kiddos. More than once I've had to grab someone in our group to keep them from getting very wet). If you don't scare easy, I recommend teaming up with a group of strangers for your walk through. It's the best to watch people scream and freak over the creepy, crazy, and sometime gore filled goodness of the complexes. There is even a coffin for you to get strapped into for that Last Ride thrill if you are adventurous.
Check it out. I promise you won't be disappointed!
Scary fun for all!

Signage/Visability/Location: The Burial Chamber is located just off Hwy 41 which makes it an easy find. The building is hard to miss as you can see Burial Chamber painted on the side of the first building. They also have parking attendants so it's hard to miss.
Wait area/ Line entertainment: Burial Chamber offers 2 large video screens for your viewing pleasure while in line. They also have a few ghouls roaming around the grounds.
Actor Performance: Solid as usual. When you have 100+ actors it's hard to control them all but they do a good job.
Scenes/Sets/fx: Outstanding. The attentions to detail and props they use are phenomenal.
Length: Adrenaline was about 20 minutes, Insanity was about 20, and Phobia was about 15.
Crowd Control: Nothing out of the norm. Parking attendants parking cars and such. One thing I suggest is that you have customers not smoke in line. We stood next to a bunch of kids who were smoking and it was gross.
Most Memorable Moment: Where do I start. When we went through Adrenaline my friend kept picking me up by my jacket which had me laughing the whole way through.
Summary: This was my 3rd time going through Burial Chamber and it is always good. However, they don't change that much year to year. With a slower night you would expect them to let you go in smaller groups. Groups of more than 4 kind of ruins the experience since you don't see everything especially if you're in the back. At the end of our trip through Insanity there were probably 15 of us in a line.
3 haunts for $30 is a deal for what they offer. I recommend this haunt for any haunted house fan.
